I was browsing any and all mods for the 2016 and up 1.5 malibus and found a axle back exhuast. Im really interested but it requires 1.5 owners to do a 2.0l rear conversion. Heat shield, exhuast hanger and diffuser. If i do the conversion is it something that i can do at home in my driveway or will i have to take it to a muffler shop.

Hello i dont expect very many people to respond or even read this but i stumbled upon a new cat back exhaust for the 9 gen malibu with either 1.5 and 2.0 engine. do be advised that its from a Asian supplier where this car is also sold and is more popular to modify. but yeah now you have an option between Jun b.l. axle back, magnaflow, and this new one i will link to.

Hello i have a 17 malibu ls with single exit exhaust but im looking into a dual axle back from jun bl. Not discussing how much it cost to order it is it better to install it myself and have a muffler shop weld on a hanger for the right muffler, have a muffler shop install the whole thing, or find a welder on facebook market place or something like that to weld a hanger?
