Just noticed, on the window sticker for my 2018 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid, that the Gloss Black Grille option on my car "disables adaptive cruise control". Is this true? Is there no way to re-activate ACC?

Based on the build and price tool (sometimes reliable, sometimes not) and order guide (usually reliable), the statement on your window sticker is correct. Gloss Black Grille = no adaptive cruise. My question would be, could this Hybrid even have adaptive cruise? The order guide has adaptive cruise which is part of Driver Confidence II as available on the Premier only. Other members have complained they couldn't get adaptive on their hybrid - perhaps they were wrong? Does this window sticker actually list adaptive cruise as included then have the other deactivate message?

Ah, you're right. The only safety package included is the Driver Confidence I package, so ACC wasn't even an option. Shame

Adaptive cruise control is particular about the surface used to detect distances. All Impalas with adaptive cruise control have this odd looking grille.
