Read online that GM was eliminating hands free calling (HFC) in 2022. Have not paired my new phone yet with my 2009 Malibu....Will a 2009 Malibu without an Onstar subscription still have HFC. Thanks in advance

If your car is Bluetooth equipped and pair your phone using the phone's plan then yes, hands free calling still works. If the hands free plan is provided by OnStar with the OnStar minutes, that's eliminated because there are no minutes to buy. In my 2016 it ended last November.

'09 will still have call answer and talking but no call dialing.

Hands free bluetooth works fine but is only for calls, will not be able to stream music.
