Hey guys - I hate my brakes on my 09 LT2 - When I rotated the tires last month it seems like I have about 1/2 life left on them - so I am considering to replace them with something that has a better feel and less fade. I am thinking about EBC Greenstuff as they are stated to be the first step up from OEM without going with new rotors etc...

I only plan on keeping this car for a little more then a year from now - so I dont want to go crazy with upgraded brakes and rotors.

Has anyone run the EBC Greenstuff pads before ?

I thought that Discount Tire Direct on this site gave away 4 or 5 sets of these pads to members - but I never heard or saw one person do a review.

Has anyone changed out their pads to something new ? Can you give us any feedback ?

Thanks

I don't have experience with those pads, but have you thought about ceramic pads at all? They are cheaper than EBC pads and have the same benefits. I have always had great experiences with ceramic pads, and I love the fact they have next to no dust. You could change pads and have someone refinish the rotors fairly cheap. My parents subaru was $50 total for the front, refinishing the rotors and new pads, but doing the work myself.

@86 - where are you located? I see you have the color I prefer and I might be interested in selling mine to get yours. Maybe.

Located in Connecticut.

Funny you posted this - as I was just thinking this morning that I should take Ford up on its "Swap my ride" offer on a new '11 Mustang V6 for a commuter car.

Oh - and not because I own it...but the Red Jewel is a sweet color.

This may be off topic from what your asking about EBC brakes.
I've been using EBC for my 2008 ZX6R. They feel much better while pulling on the front brakes on my bike.
I'd trust EBC brakes for my BU...

*** Just my 2 cents***

Don't the new ones come with ceramic brakes? My 03 truck and 08 Sky did. The 03 BU did not but has them now with slotted rotors and they work great. No more brake dust even with slotted rotors.
