Yes. They do NOT stay on for 5 minutes, but there is the option of lights on after exit/lock that can be turned off. It was a waste on my mother's and bugged me, so I recently turned the feature off without telling her and the same for my G6.
Enter the DIC by holding Info/Select and change the setting and/or look in the manual for more info.
