My father picked me up from work today. By accident, he turned on the heated seats. They really should have put this button in a more conspicuous place. The button can be hit by accident.
Anyway, when I got into the car to drive, the seats were burning hot. I could barely sit on them. And they took a long time to cool off after I switched the heat off. I was surprised that they put heated seats with Suede. Suede doesn't get that cold in the Winter and I see how hot they get when you turn on the heated seats.

I guess I will be using the low power heat if I use it in the Winter.

Did anyone else notice that the seats get very hot when you use the heated seats with Ultralux? Do they get this hot with the leather seats?

I've never hit mine by accident, but my wife does alot. The button is VERY easy to hit and the high position is very warm, but not "hot" IMO. I never use it being that I live in FL though.

Yeah, the button is not in a great place. You have to feel for it, you really can't see it unless the door is open. And it's easy to hit by accident. I would have preferred if they put it on the center console.

I agree that it's in an idiotic location, too! I've turned mine on accidentally a couple of times, but now I know how to avoid it. The high setting (hmmm, it's a "2" on the switch!) gets quite warm to me as well. If the temp outside is really cold then I can leave it on high for quite a while, but usually I'll knock it down to low once I'm comfortable. It's interesting, too, that it doesn't turn off with the key. It stays on with RAP (retained accessory power) or until the door is opened with the key off, just like the radio!
