Hi,

Name's Erik. My wife and I just traded out gas guzzling Tahoe in for a 2010 Malibu LS on Saturday. So far we are really happy with it, love not watching the fuel gauge drop every two miles lol.

Already looked through here a little and saw some good info. Look forward to being here for a long time.

Don't plan on modding the Bu too much, maybe a mesh grill, some post covers, LTZ Fog lights where the LS only has the filler panels, maybe some LED interior lights and wheels. I like the 17" Polished wheels that they came out with (mine only has the hub caps over steelies).

Erik.

Welcome aboard! Who knows what gas prices will be in the coming future? Many have the 4 cylinder and it seems to be a good motor. There has been some debate on the 4 VS. V6 but you can’t go wrong with the 4. Many are very happy with the 4 cylinder and get great gas mileage . Congratulations on your new car purchase!

Will due. I'm usually a very active member. I'm a member of the following sites lol

www.tahoeyukonforum.com
www.dakota-durango.com
www.tintdude.com

Those are just my main forums that I'm on.

One thing right off the top, I'm curious if I can find some LTZ fog lights to replace the filler panels that are in the front bumper, are they a plug and play install?

Anyone know of a good place to find new takeoffs, I like the G6 5-spoke wheels and would like a set to replace my stealies / hubcaps lol.

Generally speaking the factory fog lights are not plug and play. You can find the lamps and associated mounting panels on the auction sites (so I've read). The issue you'll run into, especially with a '10, is the wiring is not likely in the car like on earlier model years, but you may be lucky.

When you install the lights (and if the wiring is there) you plug them into the harness. Then you install the switch inside and plug it in (if the harness is there). Then you take the car to the dealer and PAY them to reflash your BCM to recognize the switch and relay (that you'd also have to install, if the wiring is there).

The other way around it is to get the factory lights and wire it directly yourself. No programming fee.

Thanks Driven!

If I can gather up all the parts needed, I'll probably go ahead and have the dealer flash the BCM so it's a "factory" setup. Although wiring it into the low beams could be done easily I'd think.
