Hello to all! I joined this forum in an effort to try to keep my Malibu from going to the junk yard. I have a 2000 3.1 LS. The trasmission went out, so I threw in a new one.
The new one had errors, stating the shift solenoids were out, causing me to have a max speed of 45mph. This past weekend, I put a new transmission in, that I know works. After the installation, and codes cleared, the same errors stated the shift solenoids were out.
This is causing me to think there is an electrical problem. Can any one help? Here is a link to the process of changing out the transmission:
