Help....2009 malibu run drives great but when you slow down to turn into another street throttle hesitates then takes off..it reminds me of a transmission slipping ,when its low on fluid when you turn a corner...,its a 4cyl 6 speed tranny,,,,only 15,000 miles...dont really notice it going straight just when u slow down and turn....couldnt find anything on the other forum discussions..just checking to see if anybody else has had this problem before i go to dealer......Thanks

It depends how hard you are hitting the throttle... If the car is trying to downshift then there may be a hesitation. But not a sudden jerk.

What speed are you coming down the first road, slowing down to for the turn, then trying to speed up to, typically?

Also, what do you mean by low on fluid? Which fluid is low? If this only happwnes when low on tranny or oil (which shouldnt ever really be changing at 15K miles) then you may have a leak of that fluid or are burning it.

I believe the condition you described are inheretent with this transmission. Mine acts similar to what you are describing. In fact, the feeling and sounds it makes sometimes reminds me of a manual shift.

Yes, if it is minor and not a sudden jerk, it may be normal. I think eventually you compensate(a strong word for something as minor as it is if im understanding correctly, I dont think about it i just "know" the car now after a year, in a good way) for it in normal driving where you understand what is occurring around the bend (as in, I slow down for a turn and already are inputting acceleration as needed and wouldn't notice this.)

If it isn't sudden or jerky, and merely a slight delay, it's just the powertrain/normal most likely.

It is the nature of the beast. Mine is the same way. The car isn't set up for being able to pull hard out of turns, it is designed for fuel economy. Torque management doesn't really allow it either. If you want it to pull out of a turn faster put it into manual and hold a gear through the turn, it makes a huge difference. It is kinda annoying, but it was designed as a casual driver car.
