It is really easy but there are a few things that you need to know.

1. Aim them down if you do not have projectors or you will blind people and have issues with cops.

2. Use a wiring kit even if you have a 35w kit the initial surge to turn them on can and will fry your stock wiring. (some say you don't need it but for the price its well worth the piece of mind)

3. HID's DO NOT LIKE DRL's disable them or you will ruin your ballasts.

Now that that is out of the way here is what I suggest. DDM Tuning Slim Ballast they have a lifetime warranty and I have had nothing but good service form them. I had their original raptor kit in my truck and they were great. Blew one ballast the day I got the kit and they replaced it no questions asked on the spot. Now for the wiring kit use this DDM Tuning Wiring Kit it is only 15 bucks and for that price it is well worth the added safety on your wiring.

Now for coloring your best bet is to stick with 6k or lower. I had great luck not getting pulled over with the 6k 35w kit. The next kit that I get will be a 5k because it is the whitest with a very very slight blue hue to it.

I will let you know that doing both your highs and lows is not a good idea. With them in your highs when you turn them on you will have no light output till they warm up and it takes a few minutes to be full power. Now you can do a high 4 mod that will have your lows stay on with the highs but it is not recommended it can melt your headlight housing due to the heat they both put off. I did this and did not have any issues with my truck but I never really used the highs.

I do my own wiring. Love to do it, and definitely save a lot of $$. For me it's easy, but for others it's like pulling teeth. If anyone wants to come to Louisville with an appointment I'll help ya by showing you some tips and tricks, and help you actually do it yourself. You can buy me lunch or something.

If I understand how they need to be wired, such as disabling the DRLs, then all of that can be accomplished under the hood, with no mods inside the cabin or through the firewall.

Pulling the bumper is absolutely necessary, but pretty easy. It just takes time. Once it's off it makes doing the job so easy, too!

I can do the bumper but wiring for me is impossible
Seriously a 2 year old can do it. Its all plug-n-play. The only wires you have to actually do anything but plug it in is the power for the battery and ground. With those they have a end on them that is a circle and all you have to do it remove a screw that is contacting metal and put the ground wire on that and tighten it down. Then the power all you have to do is remove your battery power wore and put it on that and your done. The rest is just unplug your headlights and plug the new plugs to them.
