What are the road force numbers for each wheel and tire? In my experience I can feel vibrations if any tire is over 15. Some tire places consider 25 or less acceptable. It is not on a gen9 Malibu.
I've not had a road force balancing done yet, that I'm aware of anyways. Firestone told me that would be our next step, Dealer #1 stated I'd have to leave the car with them as it takes a lot of time to do that with all 4 wheels. I will bring it up on Friday with Dealer #2.What are the road force numbers for each tire and wheel? In my experience I can feel vibrations if any tire is over 15. You're giving me hope that this vibration is going to eventually go away! I sure hope so! I love this car, other than the vibration that keeps coming back! Probably my favorite car I've ever owned.I have a fear of installing new tires and find balancing a total pain. I can't stand a car with tires even a little out of balance. I bought a set of Continental PureContact LS for my 2016 late last summer. Prior to install the car was totally smooth. I went through a couple extra balance attempts then a road force. They got wheels to 6, 7, 9 and 22. The vibration remained. I had someone else try and road force and got to 21 on the 22. I dealt with it until I put my winter wheels with snow tires on. Car was again totally smooth. Last month when I put the spring/summer/fall wheels back on with the PureContact the vibration 60-80 mph returned. I put one of my winter wheels back on in place of that 22 wheel and it was totally smooth. I got them to try again. They couldn't do any better and drove it and agreed it wasn't very pleasant. They called Continental who warrantied out that tire as out of round and Continental replaced it for free. The new tire got to 11 and the car is again glass smooth. It can take a lot of time and a lot of hoops to get it right.
Great tires; 40k on my first set and still decent although hydroplane @ 60ish felt recently. No road vibrations, thankfully.I have a fear of installing new tires and find balancing a total pain.
