Na, have you tried a uHaul? They can put a hitch on just about any car.

EDIT: I emailed uHaul and this was the response I got.

Thank you for your inquiry. Our vendors do not have any hitches designed for the 2006 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx SS. U-Haul does offer custom designed hitches. The rate for the custom design is $450, and you can go to a U-Haul center to get this started. Once the request is made, U-Haul will find that vehicle in Phoenix, AZ and begin the process to design the hitch.

I know they are readily available for the maxx, but I was looking for one for the "SS" trim. The dual exhaust makes it a different set up.

Are there any updates on having a hitch installed on the Maxx SS? There is a Maxx SS I am seriously looking at but if I can't get a hitch it probably is a deal killer :( Did anybody have U-Haul do a custom job? Thanks.

Im from Alberta and checked with a couple of companys, Hitch Warehouse ECT... they advised that there is not a hitch factory made for the Maxx SS. looks like a custom job, either by making a hitch hole in the lower fareing or like one I saw on a Magnum r/t where the receiver hitch hole points down to the roadway and the hitch is shaped like the letter "L" so that when it is in place it fits below the body fareing
