Hi everyone, hope you all are having a good day. Anyway I own a 2001 Chevy Malibu V6 with a/c, your typical model Malibu. I replaced the ignition switch in it because I couldn't get it to start what so ever, the thing was completely dead. I even put a starter in it first but ignition switch was the fix. Now all the sudden when the car is running all the wiring leading to the power window switch on driver side gets super hot like it's going to melt, I don't get it, never seen anything like it. Does anybody have any idea what could be causing this. Super Bazaar, any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, cweklund

Pull the fuse(s) to the windows and then see if the wiring cools down. Then, put the fuses back in and pull the plug off the master switch to see if it heats back up. If so, then there's a short, probably in the wires between the door and body. If not, then a switch may be powering a window motor and not shutting off.
