Hey everyone,

I had a modded 05 Scion Tc. I had parted some stuff out before i sold it which included my HID set. The bulb size are 9006 and i think the Malibu is H11. What would be the easiest route to save money on putting this things on? buying different bulbs or what..??

Sorry no I am not help with the HIDs but those are cool Lambo doors in your Avitar. I am assuming that was your Scion.

Just buy the H11s and use the ballasts you have now. Probably the easiest route, unless you can sell that set and just go with a brand new one altogether. A good set of bulbs will run you about $50-60, but I have also seen whole sets of HIDs for about $39! Take your time and shop around, you might find a good deal out there.

Four Lambos would be cooool. Wouldn't have to worry about the kids swinging the doors open in the wind! LOL

Lol.. Yes that was my scion. Had to let it go :( it was costing too much to maintain. Plus I wanted something bigger. That would be the first and last time I ever get lambo doors period. If I had another car it would be ok. But not on a everyday car.

Yea I might just sell my kit and get another HID set. I'm not worried about taking the front bumper off. I ripped my Tc to peices putting things together. You got to familiarize yourself with the car somehow.

I've taken mine off. It's a matter of removing a myriad of fasteners, but once they're loose it's a snap to remove and put back on.

I tried getting one headlight out by accessing it from the bottom up for one screw, and by bending some plastic for the top one. I finally gave up and took the skin off. Glad I did, too! It was a whole lot easier to work on both lights, and it also afforded me a look under the skin, kinda like rolln says about getting familiar with the car.

While you're there you might consider replacing the incandescent turn signals with LEDs, which is why mine came off.

That's what I want to do.. What's the turn signal bulb size..?
Fronts are 3157NA, rears are 3157 for incandescent. Use 3157 for both when ordering LEDs.

When I got mine I ordered amber to put in the front and red for the rear. Sounds redundant to have red LEDs behind red lenses, but someday I hope to replace the rear ones with the clear LTZ version and then the LEDs will be perfect. The amber and red ones are both clear until they illuminate, then they're the color indicated.

Just remember to get LED load equalizers so the flasher doesn't go spastic.
