So, I now have an extra set of fog light trim pieces and an extra grill that I picked up for free. I want to paint match the black on the fog light trim and paint match the grill even though the factory is close. I am going to order some 5K HID's for the headlights and 3K HID's for the fogs. Basically I am going to do all this at the same time while the bumper is off. Does anyone have any other ideas of what I might be able to do while it is apart? I am also looking for ideas of what to do with the lower black grill. Mine is broken and I really don't want to buy another one, so maybe something custom?

Just a thought, has anyone painted their outside door pillar cover in a gloss black. I was thinking it may look really good and work well with the dark tint to make the pillars not stand out as much.

Sorry for the long post, I just have the urge to do more things to my car:D

Hum, painting those areas silver is interesting. As for the lower grille, since it is broke and you gotta pull the bumper why not get a 3 piece mesh and cut out the OEM grille?

Hmmm, I may have to look around to see if I can find a grill I like that isn't an overlay. I should be painting the other fog light trim pieces tomorrow. I will post pictures of what they look like off the car.

I will be putting them on at work sometime this week so I can use the lift. At least the bumper doesn't need to comes off to take them off. I hope it looks good, if not it will only be time wasted:).

Here is the new trim pieces installed. I forgot how much I hate taking them out. Now it makes my lower grill stand out horribly, I need to figure out what I am going to do about that.

Edit: For some reason the posts in this section don't show up as new posts on the home page.

Looks great dude! All I would do to tie it in is add the little chrome strip across the middle of the bottom grille like I did.

Thanks guys. I need to get a new lower grill first since this one is all busted up from the previous owner, but one thing at a time. Thanks for the idea about the chrome strip, I had completely forgot about it. Once I put in a new one I will put the strip across it so it doesn't look like a large hole in my front bumper.

Tip for anyone else that may do this, make sure the tape over the chrome is nowhere near touching the plastic to be painted. I didn't pay attention to that on one of them and I screwed it up completely when I took the tape off, but live and learn. It was worth the work in the end, I just hope it holds up to the road debris.
