when you have the key in the ignition and turn the car the key fob makes a noise rubbing the dash only have 1 key and the fob in it. the rubbing noise is annoying. can't think of a way to keep it from rubbing. any ideas

Our 'Bu dashes have a built-in rubber area right below the lock cylinder. I have 2 fobs, one with 4 keys, one with 1 key. I don't get any noises with mine, and no scratches, either! That was a smart move to design that into the dash, even if some other car did it first. I like it.

i have 2009 malibu LS and theres no rubber area i guess they left that off the base model maybe i will see if the dealer/parts dept. sells that built- rubber area for mine thanks

it is soft but not that much , actually it really dose not feel like rubber but i can feel a slight difference does not stop the rubbing noise of the key fob rubbing the dash when turning maybe the that piece rubber is to hard or something I will see what dealer has to say.
