Hi,

Im new to the forums, just bought a 2006 2.2 ecotec Malibu LT, tonight was the first time I drove her at night. When I started the car all my instrument Panel guages lights were on, about 30mins of driving I noticed the background gauge, and climate control lights went out! and wont come back on???

Its weird because, the red needle guage lights are on along with the "kmh" yellow letters are on but everything else is out, along with my climate control lights. Anyone expereince this?

Could this be a fuse, setting, burnt bulb/s?

Please help

I'm sure your thread didn't go unnoticed, its just that certain car issues are sort of isolated. Unless someone had a similar experience or is very familiar with your type of car, they probably won't reply. I know I wouldn't, no need for a useless post.

Not to discourage you from participating in the forum, but many of the active members (including me) have the newer body style Malibu. It can be difficult to aid others with issues when we are not familiar with cars from different years. I noticed you have an 06, sorry we couldn't be of more help.

I missed this thread, but in all honestly I would have checked the fuse before I posted on a message board about it.

Yeah no worries, I had a feeling it was a fuse anyways this being my first GM car didn't know too much about them, had a chrysler before.

I noticed, im jealous of y'all with the new Malibus, really like em but my wallet wasn't big enough to get one haha, but maybe you guys should have a seprate section for older styles just an opinion BUT Thank You for the responds though.

Having a section for the gen 1 and gen 2 Malibus is something I was thinking too. If and when we expand mods I'll ask....

That is a great idea, hopefully it can happen sooner than later.

Until then, you should consider configuring your signature to something similar to mine (or other members' signatures). That quickly and automatically describes your core features and assists us to answer your question with more certainty.
