So my Malibu has been great but I noticed that the lights on the dashboard and radio will suddenly dim down, to the point where they look like they turned off, without warning and will turn on automatically after a couple minutes or so. Itll do it if im going through a tunnel or driving on the freeway. This will usually happen during the day but I have not found a way to turn them back on if they have turned off. Is this an issue or am I missing something?

No that is an issue bring it in ASAP last thing you need is to be driving at night and your hud lights go out.

The interior lights will automatically dim when the sensor on the dash recognizes a low light situation. This is part of the automatic head light system. Try throwing a towel or hat over the sensor on the dash and see what happens.

And if the above works, try turning the light dimmer switch "up" as most likely it is at the lowest setting.
