hey all
i have an 04 classic..
now its tan interior, and the car was prev owned by.. large people.. so the seats are WORN out..
my first idea was to go to the junk yard and get some new front seats... but any other opinions?

also as far as the seats go, any popular companies to buy leather or vynil covers for them to replace the cloth?

lastly, whats everyone's opinion on the quality of these stick on wood gran dash kits, and if anyone knows of a good place to get them reasonably priced?

thank you very much, sorry im a newb to these cars

If you like stock and are good at doing your own work, I agree with Silver go to a junkyard. If you want to modify them, then going to an upholstery shop but if you go that route you will probably want to do the back seat as well to keep things matched, which could cost you a bit more...

very true... i had a 97 z28 and i ordered the Hampton vinyl set for it and changed it myself, in one day with no prior experience and it was not too bad at all.. but those replacement covers are easy to find for that car ... i didnt know if there was a known supplier for these cars.

i might just check out the junk yard first though, and there is an olds cutlass of the same style that can retro fit some leather seats if i find some rite?

Malibu and Cutlass, right.

Front seat only, Alero and Grand Am should fit.

Alero 4-door might fit the back also, as might Grand Am 4-door.

Of course, given some time with a Hollandar, you might find others that bolt. Or those that bolt if you swap the track hardware.

Or, if you're REALLY handy, find some from a car that's similiar in size and make them fit :D

Same years as your 'Bu. 1998 to 2005 or thereabouts.

For the Cutlass, it's easy to verify - they LOOK like a 'Bu with a funky grill and barred tail lights. :D Because, natch, they ARE a 'Bu with a funky grill and barred tail lights.

For the Alero - I think any year Alero, I don't think they made any that weren't based on the Gen5 N chassis. But, I could be wrong.

For the Grand Am - same years as the 'Bu and Cutlass. Those fall out automatically. I'm sure there's other years that might need swapping track hardware - have the boneyard guys check the Hollandar or whatever cross reference they use.
