Hi everyone. I have two questions. First, I plan on purchasing either a DICE Universal FM RDS or an Alpine DPR RDS-1. Both of these are essentially the same modulators but I was wondering if anyone could recommend one brand over the other. My second question is about the wiring. Each of the two devices require three wired connections: One to the ground, one to the "+12V," and one to "switched power." I was wondering where exactly I would connect the "+12V" and "switched power" wires. I originally had an iSimple Tranzit which simply wired to the ground and the fuse box. The three wires included on the two I plan to buy have thrown me off a little. All help is GREATLY appreciated!

+12 to some line that's hot all the time, "switched power" to something that goes on and off.

A good possibility is to tap into the two lines into the radio itself - CONSTANT (for 12V) and 12V (for switched, on the new unit.)

Cig lighter, if it's hot all the time, will have a constant 12v line.
