Hey guys I know that a number of you have some LED lights in your cars and I was wondering if the LED burn hotter or cooler than the standard bulbs. I had to get a new driver's side headlamp assembly and the first one I got the amber lens in the thing melted because the bulb got so hot. I have some 36 LED 3157s on the way and I am hoping that those will be the solution. Any input or ideas guys?

You need to be careful about color selection and placement.

Blue is forbidden on the outside while the vehicle is moving.

Red can't be visible from the front; steady amber or white can't be visible from the back.

That is assuming you are located in the U.S. (and probably Canada too).
