I was hoping someone could help me out. I own a 2004 Malibu LT - 3.5 V6. Contrary to what many local automotive parts retailers in my area are telling me, my vehicle has rear springs AND shocks, not struts. If I put two suit cases or five grocery bags in the trunk and my two young sons in the back seat the car often bounces off the bump stops for the rear suspension. I would like to add a pair of air shocks but can not find anyone that lists a shock set that will fit.

I know it can be done but don't want to buy the wrong shocks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Pat

Airshocks are not the best way to go, since you're lifting the load on skinny little bolts as compared to the suspension connectors. But they're much less expensive than the alternatives: air bags, or new springs with a higher load rating.

Where to go? Haven't looked, sorry, but I hope you find some. Have you tried JC Whitney? See if you can Google them, check e-bay and Amazon.
