I don't want to have a high payment so i'm willing to compromise and get a used 2008/2009 LT1 between 15-30k miles. Question is, what is a good price?

I saw one from east hill chevy in NY (about 3 hours away) and think it's almost too good to be true. Malibu

$15495 for a 2009 with 14k miles.. Of course they want me to call and come in, I want to do numbers over the phone/email before going there. From past experiences at dealerships far away, once you get there they have an advantage over you and often the numbers you get are different once you get there.

I either want White, Blue or Beige and found the following in my area:

2008 LT1 - Beige / Cocoa
18994 mi, $16794

2008 LT1 - Beige / Black
28113 mi, $15823

2008 LT1 - Beige / Black
29190 mi, $15995

Basically my question is, what should I be paying for a 2008-2009 LT1 with on average 20k miles?

Well my understanding is that a new car loses 25% of it's value as soon as it's off the lot. And $1k is about $16-17 a month on average, so if I can save some $$ by going used I have no problem with that.

I noticed alot of the 15k mile cars are rentals. Are most of them fleet models? What does the fleet models miss in options?

I know but then I heard the rental companies do a great job in keeping their cars in good condition. The white one which I thought was too good to be true was sold. Seems like the good deals are so far away from me. Hard to believe some dealers advertise a LT1 used for 18k+.. How do they expect to get anyone interested in those?
