Man I had my share of problems with this car. I love it but the problems keep building and its getting really annoying especially when my mom bought an 08 Honda CRV the same time i bought my car and she has NEVER had to take it in for anything.

1. Headlights would continue to stay on even after I shut off the car and locked it and it would kill the car.
2. Steering wheel had to be readjusted.
3. Rattling noise in the wheel well.
4. Windows wouldnt roll up.
5. Fogged up headlights.
ETC WITH MORE PROBLEMS TO COME PROBABLY.

I don't want to write the rest because it gets me mad just thinking about how many times I had to bring this car in when i bought it brand new. A BRAND NEW CAR WITH EVEN 1 PROBLEM IS NOT COOL MAN AHHHHHHHHHHH. Still love my car though =] She knows no matter what i'll still love her. I guess we have a dysfunctional marriage :p LOL

HAHAH! I'm going to have to start using that one from now on to people who have all these problems with their cars :p

schlock, seems a little ridiculous if the dealer keeps messing up that much. Personally I'd say fix everything, give it a nice 1 million point inspection or give me another car.

I wouldn't have the time to take it into the dealership all the time.

Boy I sure am sorry to hear that you two have had so much trouble. What plant were they built at? I wonder if it is just first year production problems. Maybe trade them in for 09s:D:D

Funny I bought an '08 SL and have had, what i thought, was a staggering list of problems for a car with 25k...

Brake Light stays on - remedied by lifting up on the pedal, probably just a simple adjustment on the brake pedal, but tomorrow will be dealership #3 to deal with the problem.

Right turn signal doesn't click off when wheel snaps back... again, hoping to remedy tomorrow.

Service Traction Control - comes on every damn time i start the car, then after a few miles it shuts off and TC works fine, hoping its just a simple reboot of the body computer.

Weird rattle in the pedals... hoping that fixing #1 cures this.

This is my first post here, sorry its a less than happy one... I bought the LS with the 2.4l and 4 speed in the height of the fuel craze... wish I'd held out for one of the up models... as such, I'm going to make my LS look as close to an LTZ as I possibly can!

The dealer screwed up a lot on your car for sure.

However, those are realistically minor for a lot of them. Have you ever messed with the lights that got water in them now? A ton of GM headlights have that problem as soon as one light is replaced in them because of the "seal" they use on the light plugs. They need to be replaced every time once theyve been moved.

Squeaking is going to be coming from your strut mounts. Its an GM design thing. Take a little bit of lithium grease and put it in on the top of the mount and itll go away.

OK, mine was built at Lake Orion. After reading about these problems I keep looking for issues with my car but so far nothing like what has been described has surfaced. The only minor problems I've noticed is my passenger's door handle light isn't working, and there's a small part of the rubber trim around the back window that looks like it's slightly pushed in.

What I'd like to know is, how do you find out the build date of your car? I've seen a lot of folks put the month and year in their signature. Is it in the VIN number? The digit in my VIN that preceeds the year is a 1. Is that the month it was built? If it is, then mine was built in 01/09.

Yeah so I just had the bu in to fix the back part of the seat. Originally they replaced the whole cover and the underneath, and in doing so broke the back piece with the pocket , so they replaced that today too , and also the weather strip on the roof , they replaced.
So when I arrive home I check the car , cause someone else had to bring it there for me , and the back part is fixed , now theres still foam everywhere under my seat its been there for days I just thought hey vaccum it maybe its fluke , but its still coming out , and then the weather strip on the top is worst than it was before it looks like its gonna come off it was poorly put in just looking at it , Im just so fed up with dealing with this , I understand your gonna have errors , but I have a stack of sheets in a binder from taking it in for little things , and luckily I have someone who can take it in for me while there not working , when they get back to work im screwed lol ughh i dunno wha to do

I dont think its more so them messing with me just more so incompatent people working on it , it seems around here its who ya know to get the job not your skills , it's kinda sad but then again once you take something apart it usually never goes back the same it seems.
I was there today and looking at trucks going tomorrow to check it out more , got there late , but option is a truck or for $30 more bi-weekly a V6 Camaro , but I don't know about that , It would be a daily driver and the winters here are horrible and I'd probally prefer a truck as a daily.

Just so disapointed with needing to bring it in so often , i expected a bit , it's just an inconvience.

Have you thought of talking to GM directly about your dealer experience, they kind of take that seriously. Not sure if it will help, but a suggestion.
