I'd stick with Eibach or H&R. A shop should charge about an hour and a half labor. Plus remember you will need an alignment afterwards too.

Silver, yesterday in NYC it was 90 Degrees so I ran the AC , it ran great. This am when I got in the car I had the regular outside air on and I had this foul odor coming from the vents. I switched the air to interior /or recycled air and smell went away . Did you ever have this ? Also I noticed when I put the recycled / inside air only on it feel like the AC is on when its not ... Your thoughts are appreciated.

I get a little odor for the first few minutes I run the A/C too sometimes. Running the vent before and after seems to help. I have heard that it can be the wiper blades (they tend to give off an odor) since they sit right above the air intake. Some have sprayed Lysol into the air intake while the A/C is on to help this too.

Anyone else have some input?

I am soon going to lower my car too, and the smell is definitly bacteria growth on the evaporator in the ac case, the best fix is to spray antibacterial spray or evaporator deodorizer sold at auto parts stores....

The AC smell probably has much to do with the humidity. My AC smelled a lot like that in the mornings when I lived down south. But here in SL it doesn't smell at all.

I tried Lysol too but the odor would come back again after a day or two.
so my local dealer told me that this bad odor is usually from washing the car thru those automated car washes, the soap goes inside the vent under the wipers and sits there and the amount of water they use to rinse off the cars isn't much. with time it releases a very bad odor. I started rinsing the vents with a good amount of water after every car wash and the smell went away. i suggest you try this cuz it worked great for me.

Cheers.
