So I have just found out about the LTZ and it's digital HVAC unit.. Does the Digital Unit have steering controls to increase temp or fan? If so does non LTZ units have these steering controls? Can I install a digital HVAC in a non digital HVAC Bu?

I would like to add the digital hvac to my lt. If I don't get a "I trieditand it doesn't work". I will post my out come I am buying a digi hvac control from eBay. I am getting a wiring harness with it just in case some wiring changed around but I am hoping for a direct plug and play. Update soon if I don't get a exact answer and a positive no.

It's not something I've done so I can't give you any "been there done that" guidance. But the way these cars are designed it wouldn't surprise me that even if you can just plug-n-play you will still need to have the dealer reflash the BCM to accept the new equipment.

That's required if you add factory fog lights using the factory switch, so that's what leads me to believe you'd have to do it for the ACC. A call to the dealer to ask if they are able to reflash the BCM in a situation like this just might answer your question before you begin the task.

In addition to reflashing the BCM, the dash wiring harness would have to be replaced because the digital and non digital HVAC controls have different connectors. Plus there are sensors in the ductwork and in the car to monitor the temperature for the digital system to function.

Before starting the task I will consult the dealer. Also does anyone know were to get the hardware and software to re flash. I tune hondas anD obi 1 gms now and if the hardware and software are available I would like to. Thanks for the info. Over all sounds like I don't want to mess with the hvac. But I'll play it by ear if it comes out I do it I will post a write up

No plug and play but I think it could be done if you were willing to spend enough time and money. You'd need a blower control module, the recirculation door actuator, you'd need to change around wiring and would need the two air temperature sensors, the sunload sensor and maybe some more. Would take a good amount of time for sure. BCM might be an issue but if you have a buddy with a Tech 2 you could try BCM option configuration. Awful lot of mods but it's your car. Personally, I think the manual A/C systems work better than the automatic ones. But then that's why there's vanilla, chocolate and strawberry ice cream. Unless you're DD, then it's peach I think.

I'm still out of town right now. I wOnt be back until week after next. However after reading about all the parts needed unless the dealer tells me a lot different I think I might just waIt on this mod. I would still like to do it so I can say I have. But I was thinking more plug n play. Less new parts. Lol. It's chevy and new can't be easy. As always thought when I get into town and decide to do or not to do I will post. Pics or results. Thanks to all
