Hey guys, this may be a stupid question but how do you remove the MAF connector? I push in on the little white tab/hook but it doesn't come off.

Thanks.

The tab pulls up so you can squeeze the connector and pull it up. It just there to ensure the connector doesn't back off the terminal. Take a look at it before pulling it up so nothing gets broken. I generally pop them up with a small flat blade screwdriver.
+1 What he said, Just be careful.
So you're saying just push that clip in and use a flathead to pry it up?

The white clip itself just slides up, it is separate from the actual connector. I just use a flat head screwdriver to get under it.
Ok, this may be overkill but I just want to make sure I don't damage anything. Do I start pulling on the purple part or the entire connector itself? And what is the white clip for?

Take a small screwdriver and pry up where I marked with the small circle. The large circle just covers the gray clip (CPA) to remove. Don't do anything with the purple part. Once you have the CPA popped up, it can be removed, just be sure to reinstall it. For some reason I can't describe this easily.

No thats what I needed to know, thank you very much for your help.
I have the 3.6 and here's what mine looks like.

I don't have the white clip. Mine comes off with just one hand and no tools.

I have noticed some of them have it and some don't. Same for other GM's, weird. The OP's looks like a MAF sensor for the Ecotec.
