I know I have asked this question before, but now I really need to figure out what sort of accesories I need to get. Here is what I am thinking so far:

  • Undercoat
  • GM Spoiler (just the lip, nothing that sticks up)
  • Headrest DVD Players

If you have any other ideas, tips, or whatever, feel free to let me know. Check out the attached picture of it. I am a very, very, very, very proud owner.

Window tint is not just stylish but practical. It reduces the load on the AC and helps keep stuff out of sight better. I have no issues seeing clearly day or night.

Some kind of rubber mat for at least the driver's side to keep the stocker from getting heel rot.

RainX or Aquapel for the windows.

LEDs in the mirrors. (See my signature for the how-to.)

Express up/down on the other 3 windows, and remote operation thereof. (See my other how-to.)

Take off the boat anchor they use as a muffler and put on resonators or MagnaFlows. I couldn't hear mine running when I stood next to it! Mine doesn't have the fart can sound either.

Pep Boys for some cup holders that hang on the front doors. (~$10 each) The one in the center console gets in the way of the shifter and the ones on the doors don't take big cups. They're all difficult to use.

Lexsol leather cleaner and Lexsol leather conditioner. The only leather I have is the steering wheel and shifter (Ultralux ain't leather like the the salesman told me!), but it makes it very nice to touch!

Let your OnStar lapse in favor of a Garmin, and let your XM expire and get a portable satellite radio that you plug into the aux input jack. Or do like others have done and get new HU with navigation.

Check everything, even under the hood before AND after your first service. At my dealership they spilled oil on the engine, got filthy prints on the hood, fender, chrome door strip, inside the door, inside the door handle, and all over the steering wheel! (Yes, I was upset!)

Depending on where you live you might want to consider a professional undercoating and/or mudflaps.

Then just get in, drive, and smile big!

Get it tinted and work on the entertainment setup if you wish. I wouldn't touch the exterior of the car at all.

Window tint is not just stylish but practical. It reduces the load on the AC and helps keep stuff out of sight better. I have no issues seeing clearly day or night. - I will probably get this done for the rear windows

Some kind of rubber mat for at least the driver's side to keep the stocker from getting heel rot. - I will probably order a set for the front 2 seats

RainX or Aquapel for the windows. - Not sure if I will benefit greatly from this

LEDs in the mirrors. (See my signature for the how-to.) - definitely something to consider, thanks!!

Express up/down on the other 3 windows, and remote operation thereof. (See my other how-to.) see above

Take off the boat anchor they use as a muffler and put on resonators or MagnaFlows. I couldn't hear mine running when I stood next to it! Mine doesn't have the fart can sound either. Not a huge priority for me , but maybe down the road....

Pep Boys for some cup holders that hang on the front doors. (~$10 each) The one in the center console gets in the way of the shifter and the ones on the doors don't take big cups. They're all difficult to use. I will try it out as is and see if I have the same issue

Lexsol leather cleaner and Lexsol leather conditioner. The only leather I have is the steering wheel and shifter (Ultralux ain't leather like the the salesman told me!), but it makes it very nice to touch! - Did you do this from new or did you apply after X amount of months

Let your OnStar lapse in favor of a Garmin, and let your XM expire and get a portable satellite radio that you plug into the aux input jack. Or do like others have done and get new HU with navigation. - Will Do

Depending on where you live you might want to consider a professional undercoating and/or mudflaps.- I think I would benefit from both

Then just get in, drive, and smile big![/

THANKS FOR THE DETAILED RESPONSE

RainX or Aquapel help water shed off the windshield, but it also makes it easier to remove bugs and other goo, like bird poo, when you use the washers. I've used RainX for 25 years and have very limited experience with Aquapel (jury still out but others recommend it) and have nothing but good to say for RainX. I've even driven in a storm where the rain was bouncing off the roadway, making it hard to see the lines. People were pulling over and I just drove on, without my wipers going! Drove by a semi in a storm - again, no wipers! Try a bottle (not the "wax" stuff) and decide. If you don't like it (like my sister doesn't) you can either let it wear off or use some cleaner a few times and reduce its effect until it wears away. I reapply 3-4 times a year. Love it!

I did it from new. Of course, I listened to my salesman and thought I had leather with suede inserts. Once I found out that he either lied or is just clueless (both are equally likely) I now use it on just those items, but it didn't hurt my vinyl. All I do is vacuum the "suede".
