Replacing a carburetor in the old days could have helped prevent fuel getting into the oil.
On modern cars, fuel in the oil is never a sign of the TB needing to be replaced. On an EFI engine, the TB controls the amount of air entering the engine and nothing more. The fuel is metered by the EFI.
If there is fuel in the oil, there is fuel getting into the engine through defective injectors or O-rings, a defective FPR, or some kind of fuel leak that has found its way to the oil.
