Well i have an 04 malibu maxx and i want to change it up a bit, And i really like the styling of the 06 maxx SS like the grill and bumpers. So basically my question is are the bumpers and grill interchangable? Would it be a direct swap from an SS to a non SS?? The only thing that looks different is the bumpers and grill nothing else am i wrong? Thanks in advance.

Front end should be interchangeable, you'll have to change the grille and the bumper cover. You can check the Holland Exchange book to find out for sure, you may have to ask someone from a salvage yard since they will be the ones with this book.
