A self-service car wash can do it, so long as you are the one doing it. I do mine several times a year to keep the dust off and looking.

The local quarter car wash is very useful for doing this yourself. When I wash my engine, the engine wash is usually a low pressure even when you're pulling the wand trigger, but the rinse I just use the low pressure and I won't pull the trigger. I've always been of the opinion that as long as you keep the pressure low you'll be fine.

When you go to the local car wash, the engine is hot. I would think the change in the temperature of the water to the hot engine might cause some problems. I was thinking of using Gunk Engine Cleaner on a cold engine, then a light spray of water, then Gunk Engine Shine. I don't know what the dealers use on used cars, but whatever it is, it's great stuff. They look as good under the hood as they do above.
