I think the SS badges are ridiculous. The rims look ok, but they would look better with the car lowered.

haha! i dont get the fascination with SS badges. so your car isnt an SS and wont be so why try and get laughed at. Even if i had a fast SS vehicle (there arent many these days) i would take it off and go for the sleeper look. rather be fast and not look like it then try to look fast and not be at all. AKA 02 malibu sad but true

Yeah I agree with those guys... I took off all of those badges on my car as well... I won't dare to put anything on my car... and yesterday i stopped at the light and that guy with mustang saw me and I challenged him to race me, he shook his head and refused to race me. I think he knows that Malibu guys like me means business!!! if I have SS on my car and he sees me... I know he would laugh at me and try to beat me, but I will still beat him anyway... so it does make sense you know? I don't like to get laughed at.... Go ahead and remove those SS... and do sleeper style... the sleeper always looks so awesome and it does attract attention!! That mustang guy asked me what car is it and I told him it's Malibu... dude... He looked amazed and even said "WOW! That's BAMF car you have!!"

Hey man it looks good, and as far as the SS badges its all about your choice, its your car. A lot of guys here, including me, prefer the clean look, but as long as you like it I say go for it.

It's just that your the only one with the badges because your car doesn't actually exist in Ss form. People hate when your trying to be something your not. Ss stands for super sport, and is put on gm's cars and trucks that have balls. So when you put it on something that doesn't it rubs people the wrong way.

Well yes... that's true what some guys said about badges... i am not trying to hate for what you are trying to do... it's just our opinions... we are all entitled to our own opinions right? But yes i think if you are trying to aiming for uniqueness or something that are different from others, then i totally dig that... you can look at my car and you might like to say that i am trying for that too... Keep doing that... it's good way to do it.... that makes you to be more unique that way... Love how you stand up for it!

I prefer the sleeper version of a car instead of the all-show-no-go. A sleeper has the grunt to compete but doesn't blow horns by advertising it. The other way is to have badges that look nice but getting owned when you're asked to put up or shut up. If I advertise that I have something, then I'm damn sure to be able to produce it.

It goes that way in my professional life as well. At work when I was being considered for a new position I told my interviewer what I could do with Excel. He didn't believe it was even possible, and yet I knew it was because I did it every day. I also didn't say I could do more than I could prove. After he discussed it with another supervisor who had seen what I can do he was finally convinced and hired me for the position. I worked for him for 2 1/2 years before getting my current position. He was very happy with my abilities and performance.

Quite the opposite will happen on the street with SS badges and no SS grunt. Not saying it's bad that that is how you want to do it, but be prepared. Look at the comments thus far and see. Guys are competitive, and cars are one of the most popular ways they advertise just what kind of "men" they are. They are extensions of their personnas, for good or bad. If you advertise what you can't produce you won't get a lot of supportive looks on the street. If you do it in your personal or professional life you'll find out it isn't very acceptable there as well.

Do as you wish. Artistically the look is nice. But you also have to deal with all that comes with it.
