my 2012 ltz saved my wife's and I lives last night. This young man blew through a stop sign going about 45 in a ford f250 around a 2015.struck my car spun me around.while I was spinning another vehicle smashed into my Malibu. Both air bags went off wife smacked her head. The force of the hit was so bad we both blacked out for a sec or two. Thank God everyone was OK. as far as being alive we sustained chest injurys our hips are in pain her head is bruised but other than that were going to be ok.So ya my Chevy Malibu saved our lives. I loved this car and when it counted the safety features along with seatbelts did their job so thank you Chevy.ps.I need a good lawyer. I'm in AZ so if anybody has any suggestions We would appreciate it.Chevy family Gen 7 forever.

Wow, just wow!

It looks like your wife's head (passenger side) struck the windshield. But yeah, that's a testament to how the car is designed to crumple and absorb the stresses of the collision and reducing the amount of energy transmitted you.

I'm glad to hear that everyone walked away, so to speak. Was the pickup driver arrested or did he run away?

The way front passenger-side airbags are designed, they almost always break the windshield when they deploy.

I am also curious about the need for a lawyer and if the one who caused the crash ran away.

Thanks for following up, I know it must have been a rough month for you. I hope you get the payout you deserve and find a great new car to replace the Malibu!
