so ive decided that i am going to do something different and Turbo my Bu,
ive been looking into it and it shouldn't be that difficult to do.
the only thing i was worried about was the tuning. well i found a place by me to do the tuning
I have 3 goals with this project
1. do it for under $1000 ( before the tuning)
2. keep stock or better gas millage ( should be easy enough to do with a turbo, if i can keep it out of boost)
3. have it done by the end of summer
there are a lot of rite ups on how people have turbo'd their 2.4L in cobalts ect, so that should help alot because there isent to much that differs in the engine/Computer tuning

its not going to be a MoNsTeR motor just plan on running 7-9 psi of boost

i plan on buying a exhaust manifold and t3/t4 turbo next week.
wish me luck,

Good luck! You're only in Livonia....If you get this done, I'd love to see it one day. I'm only a couple miles away from Novi....travel to Romulus everyday.

Let me know how this goes, I'm in Woodhaven so I'm not far either. As far as running 7-9 PSI, good luck with that. I thought the 2.4 had a high compression, somewhere around 11.X:1. You'll be hard pressed to do that without meth injection of some sort.

Check to see if your ecm and tcm match the one from the SS/NA cobalt. If they doo then you struck gold cuz you can hp tune your malibu. I know that j-body performance.com has a built 2.4 le5 that is preatty cheap considering the build process. As far as ebay stuff avoid it if possible. I've heard horror stories and had a bad experiance myself. Remeber you pay for what you get. Good luck with the build.
