I have the black granite finish on my malibooty, btw...

I want to wax it up so I can get that "wet" look going, so I have some questions from what I have gathered from the forum...

Do I use turtle wax to wax it up first, THEN use the nxt 2.0?

and if so,

how long should I wait after I apply the turtle wax?

and if its not too much, which turtle wax, or any wax that is good, do you suggest I use. THANKS!

Well thanks for the pathway to the other posts but that doesnt really answer my question. I have been looking at those posts but im looking to know if I need to wax it up before I use NXT 2.0 or if I can just use NXT 2.0 without having to wax it up first.

I noticed that some of you use a wax and others just seem to use NXT 2.0 by itself. Some guy said he used Turtle Wax and another replied with "Looking good. One little tip. Get some sealant wax to go over that cleaner wax and it will make look like it is wet 24/7. I like to use NXT 2.0."

so once again,

Do I NEED to use turtle wax, or a cleaner wax first, THEN use the nxt 2.0?

and if so,

how long should I wait after I apply the turtle wax?

 depends on the condition of your paint, if it's in good shape just go with the NXT 2.0, if not wax it first with a Cleaner wax, I would recommend Meguiars paste cleaner wax but if you prefer TW use the cleaner wax, let the wax cure overnite then lay the 2.0 down, if you want the best out of the 2.0 lay another coat the following day and she'll glisten ;) then maintain the shine with a good detailing spray, I wax my Bu' monthly and use Meguiars Qltimate Quik Detailer after every wash, Mothers Showtime detailer spray is also good ;)

He Malo, do I need a car buffer for the quick detailer or the nxt 2.0? I know it might be preferred but if I can do it by hand first to see if I like it then cool. Thanks.

Meguiar's® Ultimate Quik Wax
this stuff is great, just spray it on a wet or dry car. Be sure the paint is cool, it dries like a film then just buff off. Works great and really adds a great shine and smooth protection for the paint finish.

Yup, I love that stuff too.

I only use Meguiars and Mothers. Not a fan of Turtle Wax at all....
