Not to sound like an ass, but how do you loose a boot? I have driven FWD vehicles since 1985, all driven in the 150-200,000 mile range and have never had a hole, rip, tear or loss of a CV boot.

In answer to your question, I would replace the boots on the whole axle.

In that case, you're probably due for one (law of average catching up).:D J/K. Seriously, chances are, the whole drive shaft on that side needs replacing. Once all the grease is thrown out and dirt gets in, it's usually too late to salvage anything.
