2011 malibu 2.4 liter flex fuel 6 speed automatic transmission. I wanted to see the battery age in my malibu. Have had it for a couple months.bought from dealership. They told me they checked the battery and it was fine. But I find corrosion tonight. Looks like been there a while. What causes one only to do that? From my reading. Dirty terminals can cause various little issues. One being abnormal shifts. I was surprised by that. What's your take on it? I

A weak battery and/or corrosion on wires can cause all sorts of seemingly unrelated issues in these computerized cars. Some have shared that the battery test even said it was good.

Lower than expected voltage can wreck havoc on modern cars. Clean the connectors and terminals good, reconnect and spray some Fluid Film on them to protect from future corrosion.

Or at least put the anti corrosion washer under the terminal clamps.
