Amazon has some good ones. The brand is Nokya and they are pretty cheap at around 15-20 bucks for a pair. They have Hyper White, Blue and Yellow

Do be aware that your eyes aren't as sensitive to blue as they are to white light.

So the lights won't be as good if they're blue.

www.ddmtuning.com Cheapest HID kit that i would trust. Not much more than bulbs or cheaper depending on what bulbs you get. You would need a H11 Bulb. The normal "Raptor" kit is $25 for regular sized ballasts or the "Slim" Ballast kit for $35. I'm going to order a Raptor kit in 6000K or 8000K for the GF's car. I've had 8000k for the last 5 years in all of my different cars and loved them.

You would need a H11 for low and a H9 for high like RalphP said.
IMO I have never used a relay wiring harness on any of my last cars and NEVER had a problem but thats just me.

1. Got to www.DDMtuning.com
2. Click on HID kits on main page
3. In middle of page it has "Apexcone Raptor HID Kit" or "DDM HID Kit Slim Ballast" Pick whichever one you want and click it.
4. Stick with 35W more than enough, Select H11(For Low Beam) for Bulb Type, Bulb color(I use 8000k) and then add to cart unless you need to order Adapter cables, harness or Error Code Eliminator.

Here is a Install guide

~~DISCLAIMER~~

I'm not saying RalphP is wrong. I'm just saying i've never used a relay wiring harness and have been fine. I take no responsibility for anything that could happen for not using a relay wiring harness.

Yah. The Malibu is listed as "Not really necessary", but I could not get the passenger side to light dependably on stock wiring. YMMV, but that's why I RECOMMEND it.

At worst, it won't hurt - moves the main current from the current lighting circuits to the new wiring, and that can't hurt.

Plus, it avoids the DRLs from frying the ballast as it tries to duty cycle the things.

In addition, you can, with a couple (or three) diodes, get your low beams on all the time the low OR high beams are on. This might be a BIG consideration if you HID the low beams, because I can say from experience that after a run with highs on, you have NO light when the lows come back on until the HIDs stabilize. Or very little, I should say. Ditto on switching to highs, if the highs are HIDs.

So, with all of that, I do recommend the relay wiring harness. But again, not everyone will NEED it, or see the overall improvements it can make to the total system.

Unless you drive a LOT with high beams (read: long periods between switching from low to high to low), you'll probably do best with replacing only the low beams with HID. They aren't like "regular" bulbs. Think of those funny street lights that take forever to turn on. They are similar in that they use a spark to produce the light instead of burning up a metal filament. They also don't like being cycled from off to on and off again.

Our Gen7 models (2008+) have the low beam always on even with the highs. But since you're working on a 2007 you will want to check to see if they do or don't. Like RwP says, using diodes or some other method to keep them on will be a good thing.

Also, I've done auto electrical for years. As RwP also recommends, so do I: consider using a relay for each pair of HID bulbs you install. It removes the added load from those amazingly skinny wires used by GM and places it on a wire of your choosing, hopefully a 12-gauge or heavier (I suggest #10). Then all the stock wire has to do is power the coil on the relay. Even if you don't change over to HID, the stock H11's would be brighter. I'm going to do the upgrade to both my lows and highs one of these weekends.

No problem :) Where you from? Im in a smaller town only about 35,000-40,000 people, I have friends that have 12000k and have never been pulled over. I think the main thing is to have them adjusted right and have a working hi beam. I did have a friend who got a ticket, cause he was a cheap ass and didnt buy a high/Low kit so he had no high beam. On a dark empty country road a Cop flashed him thinking that he had high beams on. But he couldn't flash back and got a ticket for a non working high beam. Cop said all you had to do is flash back LOL.

OTOH, I'm seriously considering moving the HIDs to the high beams and putting the halogens back in low - along with the "Lows on with high mod" - since I drive so much cross country at night (Have Toolbox Will Travel kind of stuff for computer and printer break/fix, DSL turnups, and even system administration work. Too much of the first two, not enough of the third.)

Silly question - if you drive mostly in town, why worry about HIDs? Should be enough light from street lights to get by, eh? (Just a question.)

You're kidding, right? Why do women get breast augmentation? It certainly has nothing to do with breastfeeding (I'm positive that babies couldn't care less).:p

Well, there is that. But augmented lighting can be had by a) replacing the cost-reduced wiring harness with a really beefy relay harness, and b) using higher wattage halogens. And that avoids the whole "Blind the oncoming driver" schtick.

Which can be handled, but I figure if they're looking at blue (which one, isn't as bright to the eyes as white is, and two, WILL cause rod degradation quicker than almost any other color), they're really not concerned about safety or about the other drive.

Which is a shame - a Mac Truck driven into a Malibu because the truck driver couldn't see the middle line will STILL destroy it.

Agreed but "whatcha gonna do?" It's the easiest way to stand out, get noticed (HIDs aren't exactly rocket science). It just needs to be installed and used in a responsible manner.
