I have a 2009 2LT Malibu with the V6 engine. The car has 200 miles on it and recently I have noticed a strange "growl" upon stopping the car. It almost sounds like the same growling sound that abs brakes make when they become active, however there is no push-back in the brake pedal.

The sound happens as you really push on the brakes- like the last 10% of the pedals effort is when it starts and is worse when you finish braking. The brakes work normally- no excess heat or smoke. Could this be the pads seating?

Any ideas? Also, it only does it after you have driven the car and its warmed up.

Thanks,
Dan
