My son just picked up his first new car, 09 Chevy Malibu LT1 with 2.4L 6 spd. and it is so nice!

Here is a picture or two to show it off...

So this one makes (7) GMs in the garage and driveway (including my company van). Yes we are a little biased here! LOL I hope to contribute here on this forum like I have with all my other rides. Even though this car is his, I am typically the chief mechanic in the family and love the info from these forums!

1st question... He accidently popped the rear cupholder out already and I cannot figure out how the spring is positioned in there when reassembling. Does anyone have a diagram of this or can describe it? If nothing else I will have the dealer pop it back together the next he's in there, but it seems like this should be a simple fix.

I bought a 2010 Malibu LTZ White Diamond 30 days ago. I also have a leased 2008 Impala LT. The Malibu is AWESOME! My only complaint is the telescopic steering wheel adjustment. My new Malibu is a true pleasure to drive.

I agree, those wheels really make it stand out... especially in that Summit White color. The dealer had it on the showroom floor and I could tell my son was hooked as soon as he saw it!

I might even have to see if I can get him to swap me for my HHR SS once in a while just for a little variety!

I still haven't figured out the cup-holder spring placement. I think I'll just have him take it to the dealer to have it put back together...
