Hello there Im planning on adding some HID headlights to my 98 Malibu LS is there anything I need to be aware of such as the effect of the DRL

I would disable the DRL's.

Ok so i installed my new headlights with the HID kit but the left one didnt turn ON (except for the high beam and yellow light) while the left one is fine

This is where i got it:

It got dark so i wasnt able to trouble shoot it...i will do this tommorrow i just want to know some of the possibilities that could cause this because i connected everything

Have you tried to swap the sides, sometimes that helps to see if it is the car's harness or a single one of the ballasts/bulbs.

Sorry to hear about the problem, take your time with it as the bulbs are very sensitive.

Ok thanks....but the funny thing is that today when i was gonna start trouble shooting it the left light actually worked

So now im kind of puzzled could it had been that last night my battery had became weak that it couldnt supply both lights? Is this what happens when the battery cant keep up?

I spoke too soon! It still does it...i did the switch and it turns out that the lights work but when i tried on the right side it seem dimmer...could this be the sign of a bad ballad?

Could be, maybe its not gettin enough juice to properly ignite.
