Hi Everyone: I am new member to the Chevy Forum, but not a stranger to car forums. I am previous owner of a 2003 Acura TL and member of the Acurazine Community online car forum. Also, a previous owner of a 03' Camry and 96' TL. Both great car for me.

Just traded in the 2003 TL for 2010 Chevy Malibu LS. (Sliver Ice Metallic) I had the car a little over 2 weeks. So far I AM LOVING THIS CAR!!!! I had a 09' Chevy Malibu as rental once and enjoyed. So, I put on my list for next car. Plus, I grew up with my dad being a die-hard Chevy owner.

Well, I am considering some modifciations since it is the base model like a factory sunoroof, fog lights, chrome exhaust tip and etc. Let me what you think?

Well, I just want to make my introduction to the forum and I look forward to talking with some of you real soon. Below are some pics of my new BU!!!

Welcome to the site! Nice pics, too!

Seems like a lot of folks tend to suggest tint. I've never had it before this car and doubt I'll ever have another without it! Just like when I got my first cruise control many years ago.

Installing a sunroof after the fact can be problematic. Do a lot of research first. Check on some installed units as well. There are aftermarket models available that have an auto-close feature not found on the factory model. If that feature is important to you it can either be added to the factory model with an affordable module and wiring it in, or you can just get the aftermarket sunroof with it built in. The factory model opens above the roof and has no wind deflector until you open it past the vent position. Then a nylon mesh pops up. I like the clean look with it closed, but it has grease and ugly stuff visible when open. The sunshade also needs improvement in looks. Overall I'm glad I have a sunroof. (My first as well.)

For the chrome tip you might want to consider what another member plans on doing. He's gonna get the dual exhaust rear panel, the factory tips, and then modify his muffler by removing it, putting in a Y-pipe and dual mufflers, and then installing the tips. It'll look like a factory 3.6 setup but be a 4-cylinder motor.

Factory fog lights can be gotten online. If you intend to have the factory switch as well, you'll need to have the BCM (Body Control Module) reflashed to recognize the switch and relay or it'll never work. Or you can install your own switch and wiring, or even your own fog lights. If you get non-factory fog lights, consider projector lamps. They'll keep the light where you need it, they'll be less reflective in fog, and they won't blind oncoming drivers (if adjusted right). Non-projector fogs just scatter the light. They do less for the driver and tend to blind me.

See what others say. And I agree - GREAT car!
