Hey guys,

I have 1997 Malibu LS (3.1L V6). About 97,000 miles. This car has so many problems, I just can't list them all. I have spent so much time and money on this thing. I've gotten to the point where I will fix only necessary issues.

The latest problem is that when I drive, the car makes this weird chirping noise. It sounds like a cricket chirping. At first I thought it might be a wheel bearing, but the noise only happens when I give it gas. Maybe its a belt? I doubt its the main accessory belt, the one with the A/C, water pump, power steering. That one just snapped after a tensioner broke. So its brand new.
Anyways, I would really appreciate it if you guys could take a guess as to what this noise is. My main concern is whether or not this is a big problem. Can I keep driving the car?

Thanks for the help!
Hope you guys are having less trouble with these malibus than me :D

Again? I just replaced one of those after the main accessory belt snapped. I guess its another trip to the mechanic. I must be this guy's best customer haha.
