I was going to say something similar (without the language!) but noticed that the car is in Mexico. I agree that tinting the windshield is nuts, and it's illegal here in the States.

In an artistic way it looks real nice, but being pragmatic (hey, ya gotta drive it, too!) I wouldn't want the tint on the WS unless I had a doctor's prescription due to an eye condition.

So, mixed feelings: looks real nice, would be concerned driving it, and would be freakin' scared every time I saw a cop!

We really need a language filter :) but yes it is just a little scary. 20% is way to dark for a windshield. I would have gone with maybe a 50% at the most. I have bad eyes and would not go that dark even if I could due to it being impossible to see in the dark. Also in the states there is nothing a doctor can do to make tint legal for your car no matter how bad your eyes are. The answers I got from everyone was if they are that bad then you should not be driving or get sunglasses Don't even try and tell me that you can see fine either because I have been in cars with 35% tint on the windshield and you can't really see all that well.

Looks bad-ass!

Chill out guys, in MX you can do just about anything to your car and cops wouldn't care. Right now they have bigger problems out there.
That doesn't make it right or safe to do. We are allowed to state our opinions and mine is that it is completely stupid and dangerous since it really is :)

LOL....dang, chevyfreak jes confirmed my earlier hesitation to post up pics but i figured, F it ya know? afterall...SilverLTZ said it best, "it's his car, he can do whatever he wants". thanks :) sorry if it upset whoever apparently became upset but yea, bein that i'm in mex. you'd be amazed tha kinda crap peeps get away with on their rides. and trust me, while it may LOOK pretty dark, i can guarantee you 110% it ain't NOTHING. i gotta homeboi who got himself 5% tint on his jetta, all around including windshield. while at first he did admit it was a bother at night w/his original halogens HL's, now that he slapped them xenons on her, he says its all good. seing as how i also chngd up to xenons, i see jes fine. in fact, e'en b4 i put them on and still had tha halogens, i only drove her out at night a few times w/tha new tint and it wasn't half as bad as you'd think. as for it being a "stupid" thing to do, well chevyfreak...that's ur opinion and quite honestly it means nothing to me. i didn't sign up here for other's negative feedback. I just figured it was a cool place to talk about a great car and show off our own PERSONAL TASTE in modifications. you could paint your whip army camouflage green and put neon orange tint on it for all i care and even if i thought it was the nastiest, stupidest thing i'd ever seen, i'd probably tell you nothing further than "very original" and be done with it.

now, i honestly don't know what was posted that an admin. felt the need to edit out chevyfreak...but its kool baby, tha world is full of haterz, so don't sweat it...ain't nothin' to me:cool:

As for tha cops...drivendaily, i've been gettin' hassled since i first bought the car. not for the tint exactly, but simply couz it caught their eye. it's been a COP-MAGNET since tha beginnin. then for a while it stopped. threw them new shoes on her recently and they started up again. never got tix, just inspected the car and sometimes myself. i figured, fine check her out...i got nuthn' to hide. so it's all good, no worries. like sumone else posted, they got more important things goin' on in Mex to be worryin' bout peeps tint levels. thnx again to those who did give me props, e'en if it was mixed lol :D

Sorry, since i am going into law enforcement I see things differently now on illegal unsafe mods. Other then the windshield I think its looks good. Just make sure you don't dive it anywhere that I am a officer at :) Plus I come off as a dick since I speak my mind and don't hold anything back. The Navy kinda had a impact on that :)

I'd do the same on my BU, but wife would kill once i'd bring it home like that... Besides i'd go with a 35%. Other then that, with the so-cal cops looking for any reason to pull people over. I'd pass on this mod.
Chevyfreak, go with what makes you happy inside. Thats what modding your ride is really about. Its not about making the other guy jealous because you did. Its more about being the guy that actually did it. Some guys just sit around talking about what they'd like to do to their rides and not even do it. While other guys DO make changes to their rides so that they can be different from the crowd.
