Hey All,

I picked up a set of Borbet Type LS (mfg. in germany) Alloy Silver Painted wheels. I wanted to jump outside the sticky to get some feedback, and this is another new one that has our bolt pattern. I wasn't feeling chrome or black on my color so decided to go with Silver and found a set I really liked.

I got a Tire/Wheel combo so am running these at 40PSI in the summer, and the stock steelies with hubcaps (Malibu LS) in the winter at 36PSI (That's the plan) :)

Let me know what you think!

@Goped: Yup, I have a milton tread gauge and will be using versus stock every 2k or so.... Thats the plan for now so I know if and when anything funny pops up.

@elcompalalo: Thanks man, much appreciated. I looked at just about every 5x110 painted and chrome rim I could find and most of the rims were just not my style for this car. I think most of the ones i saw would look bad, and out of the minority good looking ones alot looked familiar from the site. By alot, I mean about 100 total, 15 would work IMO and ive seen about 8 of those in pics on here.

I liked these the most once I decided on painted, had mixed feelings once i ordered, and then when i finally saw them installed I liked them even more.
@Malo: Wow, no kidding they look VERY similar. Is that a stock package on the Aura from a certain year? I didn't want to go with chrome though, but i agree they are way close in terms of design.

@rvguy: They are 17x7 (I went stock sizing all around, wheels and tires which to me was another benefit. Mentally + or - 1.1%, 2.3 %, etc on the odometer, I can't handle that. I keep thinking that im getting boned on my warranty (60k warranty becomes a 58.9K warranty, etc...) but thats just the way i am haha.

@my1st: Thanks, thats a good point. I never thought about that and it is what i like and probably drove my decision subconsiously. Appreciate the comment and yes, they were a pain to clean after driving them home and around for the last couple weeks of no free time.... but I now have them waxed and "Keep Clean Wheel"'d(Eagle one product, well see how it goes.) I

So....
Next up is Caliper painting, lighting redone(silverstar all around and maybe a piaa fog. No HID for me right now), and 35% tint all around. Also applying undercoating for Chicago winters.... It's like driving around a pretzel during the winter here.
