Okay, so a friend's wife recently hit a pot hole with her 09 LS and bent a wheel ever so slightly. The tire seems to be find, as well as the plastic cover, but he tells me if you look real close you can see the wheel is bent, and it has a very slow leak.

Well, I've had a set of G6 18's in the garage for about a year now. Figured this might be the chance to use them. He's really wanting to buy my 17's and go from the painted covers to my chrome. So, thought I'd just pick a set of tires for the G6 wheels and be done with it. However, I'm almost tempted to just buy a new set of 17" wheels, and use his tires/sensors. You guys think there would be any market for 3 good steelies and one bent one (no tires/sensors)? below are some of the wheels I'm considering... thoughts/opinions... links to similar, but better. And please no suggestions to go 20", just my opinion, but they're too big for the car... This is my daily driver, and this will finally be my first mod after 18 months of ownership... Told myself when I bought that I would just drive it, and I have... Built a new engine for my Plymouth, and done a lot of stuff to my truck, and wife's Jeep, but the Malibu is pretty good as is...

I really like these, but won't buy anything with a brand name anywhere, but the center cap...

I really prefer a 5 spoke or split 5 spoke, and I kinda like some of the lace style wheels, but 6, 7, 8, etc spokes are not for me...

and here is one of the G6 wheels, if I decide to go with new tires...

I would think the steelies would be able to sell on ebay individually fairly easy since they aren't hard to bend if something is hit. I do like the top wheel, but the brand name on the face kills the whole wheel to me. I have always liked the style of the Moda's though, simple but they look good. If you have the 5 spoke G6 wheels I would say use those. I really like that style wheel too.

IMO you have to be very careful with wheels on a Malibu. You don't want the "tuner" look on an American sedan. Which some of those will give you. Myself, I have always liked a simple 5-spoke design, and the mesh look that BBS made famous. But you never know. I like the OEM wheels on my Speed3 a lot.

Out of the ones you posted, I have not heard of most of those. Moda is made by BBS and it their less expensive line. Out of the ones you posted, I like the third and forth ones only. The G6 wheels are nice too though.

Thanks for the replies. After looking over the pix again, I'm still really thinking the G6 18's. The only thing with them is they look very similar to the Malibu LT2 wheels, and I like to be different. So, if anyone has suggestions on different wheels, please post them. BTW, I really don't like the dual bolt pattern either. I like number 6, but the dbp would probably keep me away.
