No offense to the people with 20's, but they are a little too big for my liking. I am looking at a set of 19's. Here are the specs for the rims and tires:

Rim Offset = +45mm
Tires = 245-35-19

My concern is that I will be running 3mm closer to the spring perch with this offset (factory is 42mm) and my tire is 30mm wider (2Lt tire width is 215). So in reality, the tire would be 15mm closer to the spring perch with just the tire.

Anyone running after market rims with 245mm wide tires, what offset are the rims you are running? (I hope you are looking SilverLTZ;))

I dont want to have rubbing issues since I would be getting the rims from the US and I can't return easily (I am in Canada).

Thanks in advance.

I was gonna do 19's myself, as I usually do not like "big" wheels on cars. But I went with the 20's for three reasons, one the selection of 19's was tiny, second is that 20" tires are less expensive due to more of a selection, and three was the Malibu has large wheel openings and the 20's filled them better. I looked into 22's as well, but they were just too big for my taste. Wheel size just depends on the car. Like on my Camaro, anything larger then 17's looks goofy and on an older muscle car 15's are perfect.

As for my wheels, they are 20x8.5 with a 40mm offset and I am running 245/35/20's with no issues.

A 45mm offset might be cutting it a little to close, and might look a little odd as well. Plus with a 19" wheel your wheel center will be closer to the spring perches then they would be on a 20" wheel. You also might wanna look into a 40 series tire as that size you gave me will cause your speedo to be off a little.
