What are your opinions on windshield decals?

Are they a distraction to the driver?
Do they cheapen the look of the car?
Will they act as a strip of tint which is lacking on the Malibu?

Does anyone have any recommendations for where to get a high quality one?

I would just get tint put on the windshield. They don't make the car look cheap, but over time it will when the decal starts fading. Personally I wouldn't do it on my car, but it's all personal preference on your own car.

I think it'd look tacky at best. IMO the whole reason for any decal is to advertise something special, like Turbo or <---REVO EVOM ("MOVE OVER-->" in their mirror). Simply putting the model name on it just screams *******, or else it says, "I'm yelling but have nothing to say!"

If I do anything to my windshield it'll just be a simple 20% shade tint, no words.

Take a look at all the truly classy upgrades to anything, not just cars. The most valued and tasteful are those that understate, like a demure woman who is more attractive due to her comportment.
