i have a 2001 chevy malibu with the 3100 engine with 220,000 miles. it has been overheating to the point of water pump failure. i have replaced the water pump and thermostat. now, i have a coolant leak which is causing the car to overheat in 15 mins. i can only see the leak by looking from the bottom of the car, its dripping from just above the oil pan i will try to get some pictures next time i go out. additionally it seems like it drips more as the car heats up expediting the overheating process. is this what happens when there is LIM gasket failure?please help

I was just about to say it sounds like the dreaded blown gasket when I got to the last line. The car has 220,000 miles, I'd say it's time to get something else.

Look above trans. Where it meets the motor. I have 01 malibu mine blew there. I have 141000 on mine and ive never took a motor apart before but i did the headgasket also. But that many miles id agree another car cuz anything else could start to fail
