So, I want to pretty much know, more specifically, what could I do to make my LT faster? I have friends recommended engine swaps, new intake, etc but they don't know details. So yea lol help me out? And yess I know I could just go get a fast car but im not trying to do thaT

EDIT: I have a 18 Malibu Lt

I'm assuming this is a 1.5? Year?The 2017-2021 LT are all 1.5 but the 2016 can be a 2.0 or 1.5.

Not much can be done to the 1.5. Intakes and exhaust will net nothing but noises. Depending on year a tune is an option.

Thank you for adding that vehicle info to your first post. 2018 rules out a tune for the 1.5. GM locked the ECM in 2018+.

In short, and for other readers who might happen upon this thread, the 2018 and newer 1.5T has a locked ECM, which means it can't be tuned.

To make it go faster you have 2 options: get it up to its top speed and then have another vehicle push it, or trade it in for one that's already faster.

Modern cars with computers are not good candidates for engine swaps, such as could be done in days gone by. As @campb292 mentioned, intake and exhaust mods just change the sound, not the power.
